A heavy gate with cast iron posts from around 1850, perhaps earlier. The posts, gate and fence piece are off an early home in Jonesbourough, TN, the oldest town in Tennessee, established in 1779. The gate is in good shape; it's operational. The latch was likely replaced at some point, as it seems to have less weathering than the other parts, and looks like a more modern design. The posts are very heavy. Condition is good, some missing paint, some rust, some lichen and moss typical of very old fencing.

The posts are 52" high. The gate is 27" high and 45" wide. The piece of fencing is 39" high and 18" wide.

We also have another piece of fencing 52" long and 36" high, and another gate, 54" high and 38" wide, listed separately.

Local pick up only in the Asheville, NC area. Will deliver for $50 within an hour's drive of Asheville.
