This miniature resin shoe figurine is called Magnetic Allure by Just The Right Shoe. Raine Willits Designs 1999. Style number 25023.

All eyes are magnetically drawn to the woman wearing this shoe, reminiscent of the tall "chopine" worn by wealthy courtesans in 16th-century Venice. The metallic look suggests precious coins and completes the fantasy. The Art Deco influence of the late 1930s, exemplified by such architectural masterpieces as the Chrysler Building, led shoe designers to construct one-of-a-kind built-up platforms with alluring patterns, even though money was scarce, so a woman could fantasize about towering over her domain with great flair.
