How to apply 3M TEGADERM FOAM ADHESIVE DRESSING - 90619?
Before Using the Foam Dressing...
  1. Clip excess hair for patient comfort.

Considerations:
  • Observe the dressing frequently. As the dressing absorbs, exudate will wick to the top of the dressing and discoloration may be noticeable. When the exudate spreads to the edges of the dressing or the dressing begins to leak, a dressing change is indicated
  • 3M TEGADERM FOAM ADHESIVE DRESSING - 90619 may be used as an absorbent cover dressing over wound fillers such as alginates or gauze packing
  • Dressing change frequency will depend on the type of wound, volume of exudate and clinical situation. Change at least every seven days or as indicated per treatment protocol
  • You may cut the dressing as needed to fit the size of the wound or accommodate wound contours. Seal the cut edge with 3M TEGADERM Transparent Dressing to provide waterproof barrier

Check your box carefully.  There are times we have overstock...and we will include a few free items for you. Thank you and remember, by purchasing from *Mercy Medical Surplus (An arm of Pass the Word KJB)...a generous portion of each sale goes to support Medical Missions Outreach.

What does MMO do?  "Medical Missions Outreach works tirelessly in underdeveloped countries around the globe to offer quality, ethical medical care to those who need it most.  We assemble and mobilize teams of medical professionals backed by non-medical volunteers to share the love of Christ using the tool of medicine."  (Medical-Outreach Commercial Site, located in McDonough, GA.)

* What is Mercy Medical Surplus?  Generally, this is overstock medical supplies from the pharmacy or the warehouse.   All of it is still sealed, brand new and sterile (or clean depending on package type) with long expiration dates.  The OUTSIDE packaging can be damaged, have sticker residue, etc.  If we get a shipment in that has pharmacy labels on in it, especially, patient information we remove those labels.  We use three methods, steam, Goo-Gone and alcohol.

We always start with the least abrasive, steam.  Occasionally, the adhesive is so strong that steam alone will not remove it…so we step up to Goo-Gone…this WILL break down the adhesive, but sometimes causes additional damage  to the box. We use very little…just enough to remove it.  Which means occasionally, some pieces of the label may be left behind.  But never patient or pharmacy information.

Unfortunately, some boxes come in damaged to begin with, or the adhesive would not lift.  The product inside is undamaged and ready to use.  If ever the actual product is damaged, we toss it in the trash.   Just be aware the outer box may be damages, have sticker or label residue, black marker etc.   But the product inside is BRAND NEW, CLEAN or STERILE depending on the product's origional packaging.

Because of COVID and due to these being medical, we are unable to accept returns or refunds.  However, if you ever have a question or a concern, please contact us.  We will work with you for the very best possible solution.

Medical Surplus is sold at way under market value.  For example, some wound dressings may sell for as high as $60 or $70  per box.  We sell the exact same product for around $10 or $15, and we pay the shipping.

Your order will usually never contain more than 50% with box damage.  Most of your order will arrive looking brand new.   If there is room in  the box, we will toss in an extra box or some other bonus.

We want this to be a great experience for you…one where you receive the greatest value.  Remember, we are here to serve you.  Please contact us ASAP if we can be of service.

Thank you so much….All the very best to you and yours.
