PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:
Do not plant "into" the soil!
Place the seeds on top of warm moist soil and cover them with the THINEST layer of soil as possible.
Use a spray bottle to spray warm water over them.
The reason for the spray bottle is because if you just pour in water, the seeds will tend to bury themselves and rot and also make sure spray bottle is clean and does not have any harmful residue in it.
DO NOT USE POTTING SOIL. Only use peat moss or sphagnum moss.
Venus Fly Trap gets its nutrients from insects so DO NOT fertilize.
ONLY USE distilled water as tap water may kill the seeds.
Cover planter with clear plastic wrap and use spray bottle to water when needed.
Take the plastic off every couple of days so they can get fresh air and to prevent rot.
Keep soil WARM and moist.
It will take 8 to 10 weeks to sprout depending on soil temperature and conditions, germination times vary widely, Please be patient when germinating seeds and continue to maintain them. It will be worth your time.
Venus Flytrap seeds may be difficult to germinate and grow if tropical condition needs are not maintained.
