Indications:

NeoFuragina is an antibacterial preparation, a chemotherapeutic preparation, intended to be used to treat infections of the lower urinary tract. Intended for adults.

Properties:

NeoFuragina contains the active ingredient furagin. Furagine (furazidine) is a chemotherapeutic preparation with a wide range of antibacterial activity. Due to its chemical structure, it belongs to the group of preparations called nitrofuran derivatives. It is used in the treatment and prevention of acute and chronic lower urinary tract infections (except those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa), including severe infections when the use of other antibacterial agents is ineffective. Furagin works in many ways, and the mechanism of its action is, inter alia, inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins and damaging bacterial DNA. As a result, the process of bacterial multiplication is inhibited. Moreover, nitrofuran derivatives activate the body's immune system. The scope of the preparations action covers a number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (also bacteria resistant to sulphonamides).
