This is an ESTATE COCKTAIL RING that was made in the EDWARDIAN to ART DECO STYLE, post 1950, from PLATINUM. The ring is centrally bezel-set with 1 NATURAL GREEN EMERALD that weighs approx. .68 ct. This emerald is a FACETED OVAL SHAPE with BEAUTIFUL COLOR & CLARITY that measures approx. 6.6 x 4.9 x 3.69 mm.
The ring is detailed with 20 BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS that have a LIGHT CHAMPAGNE color of SI to I clarity and weighing approx. .75 ctw. These lightly colored stones are the diamonds that make up the butterfly-like shape on the sides of the emerald. The diamond color is not readily apparent, you kind of have to focus on the ring to notice the color. The distant photos give you a better idea of the subtle color shade.
The ring is additionally set with 42 BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS of F to H color, VS to SI clarity that weigh approx. 1.50 ctw. All of the diamonds are in the .03 - .06 ct range and the total diamond weight in the ring is approx. 2.25 ctw. The ring measures 1-3/16” long on the finger by 13/16” at the widest point.
