1 oz Copper Cryptid Creatures Abominable Snowman Copper Round Collectible Coin

Description

.999 Pure Copper 1 oz

Obverse

The Abominable Snowman is featured on the obverse side of Copper Cryptid Creatures Abominable Snowman Rounds. The legend of the Abominable Snowman comes from the indigenous people of the Himalayan Mountains, with most tales of the beasts coming from Nepal and Tibet. This design shows the large, muscular frame of a Yeti with horns on its head, long hair, sharp, long claws on its hands and massive feet. There is an inscription on this side that reads ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN.

Reverse

A common design element is found on the reverse of 1 oz Copper Abominable Snowman Rounds. The design element features a US national shield at the center of the field with wings on either side. The American flag is shown overhead with all of the design elements worn and haggard in the details to create a spooky feel. Inscriptions on this face of the round read COPPER .999 FINE, CRYPTID CREATURES, and ONE AVDP OUNCE.

History

The first accounts of a bipedal, ape-like beast living in the Himalayan Mountains reached the Western world in the 19th century. The first recorded footprint in the region came from Among the Himalayas in 1899. A more popular picture was published in 1951 as photographed by Eric Shipton during the 1951 British Mount Everest reconnaissance expedition.
