"Sugar. It isn't just good flavor; it's good food."

This 1972 advertisement is from the Sugar Association and was part of a series of pro-sugar ads created to counter the rising popularity of artificial sweeteners. The FTC put a stop to these ads in the early 1970s when they required marketers to back up their claims with actual proof. (Turns out sugar isn't actually that good for you.) This ad measures approximately 11 inches by 8 inches. Here we have an original print ad and would be suitable for framing.

Good vintage condition with some normal age-related yellowing. Shipped flat. Frame not included.

Vintage magazine ads are a fun and affordable way to own a piece of the past. While some collectors might focus on a particular brand or product, others are interested in graphic design and its transformation through the decades. Framed and hung on the wall these ads add a unique statement to any room! Yesterday's marketing ephemera has become today's conversation pieces.
