The Ice box Fan is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. Located inside the freezer compartment, it circulates cold air to the ice maker compartment.

Causes of a bad icebox fan include failure of the motor from continuous operation, or damage to fan blades.  

Symptoms of a bad icebox fan involve:

• Clicking or grinding noises emanating from inside walls
• Ice compartment not cool enough
• Ice melting
• No ice being made
