Scarlet Nantes Carrots are known for their tender, crisp, and ultra-sweet flavor. The bright orange, cylindrical, and blunt roots are very delicate and fine-grained, containing almost no core. The high moisture content makes these carrots perfect for juicing. They also do well as bunching carrots and storage carrots. Scarlet Nantes Carrots were introduced in France in the nineteenth-century. The 6 to 7 inch roots are firm, straight, and not tapered, with very small cores and plenty of crisp, tender, and ultra-sweet flavor in every bite. The sweetness and flavor of these carrots make them a good choice for juicing. This variety is early maturing and can be grown in heavier soils.
