Soursop, scientifically known as Annona muricata, is a tropical fruit tree native to the Americas. It is highly valued for its large, spiky green fruit with a custard-like flesh and a sweet-sour flavor. Soursop is also known by other names such as graviola and guanabana.

The Soursop tree is can grow up to 10 meters tall. It has broad, dark green leaves and produces diistinctive heart-shaped fruits that can weigh up to several kilograms. The fruit has a thick, leathery skin covered in soft spines. Inside, the flesh is creamy and white, with a flavor that is often described as a combination of pineapple and strawberry with citrus undertones.
