This is a porcelain (I think) conch sell bowl or trinket dish that has been hand painted inside and out and it has three small shell shaped feet.  It is marked Wales Japan as shown. The inside is glazed, but the underside is not.

The shell measures 7.50 inches long from tip to tip and is 5.00 inches wide.  The opening is 5.50 by 3.75 inches.  The shell is about 2.50 inches tall and is 2.00 inches deep.

The inside has a hand painted flower outlined in gold.  The outside is painted pink with black and gold at the top and something orange on the longer end.  The bottom has been left unpainted and the feet are partially (minimally) painted with pink and gold paint.

I do not have an age for this item, although I did find some others.  No one seems to have a lot of information on them.

The dish/decor has no chips, cracks, crazing or other damage.
