I was never happy with any depiction of the firebird. Or the phoenix. So I made my own. Based on my magic bird ink drawings, this was painted in eight hours, loosely styled after 2oth century woodscuts in how assorted lines and darkness come together to make the shape.  Colors used: Napthol crimson, carmine, titanium white, india yellow, and yellow oxide. Surface: one 11x14 canvas panel + black gesso.

The print will be true to scale, and very close in color.
