Here we have a complete canteen mess kit from 1945.  This kit contains the canteen with its cap, chain, and cork liner.  It also comes with the outer removable food warmer with its handle, all intact and working.  The canteen has it's military green canvas holder and adjustable belt.  This is a very nice complete collection and would make a great addition for any militaria collector.
