Robert Govett

This pocket booklet by Robert Govett presents the case of Esau as a warning from Hebrews 12:16-17, and applies it to Christians.

(1) Esau's Sin- Neglecting and despising the sacred things for a morsel of temporal enjoyment.

(2) Esau's Punishment- Loss of the rights and blessings originally his by birth.

Take heed! If we as reborn and eternally redeemed sons of God choose earthly pleasure today, and despise our right to the glory of the coming Millennial Kingdom, we may miss that portion of our inheritance.

This pocket booklet by Govett challenges believers to consider 2 questions:

-What type of seed are you sowing in your daily life?

-Into what type of soil are you sowing it?

He gives several helpful examples of the above.

"Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap everlasting life" (Gal. 6:7-8).

-Govett proves that this warning is to eternally saved believers, with the punishment reaped being exclusion from the Millennial Kingdom of our Lord.

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest....they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (5:19, 21).

Soft cover booklet; 16 pgs.

The resurrection of the dead is a basic tenet of the faith. How well do you know it?

Do you know the difference between the first resurrection and the resurrection of the "rest of the dead" (Rev. 20:5-6)?

Jesus said the first is a resurrection from among the dead (Luke 20:35), leaving the rest of the dead behind until "the last day" (John 11:24).

Jesus said that those of the first resurrection are the ones counted worthy to attain to the next age- what age is that? The age of reigning 1000 years.

Who then is worthy to be raised first and reign with Christ?

Read this booklet by Lang to find out. Hint: Paul himself did not have the assurance that he would attain to it when he wrote Philippians (3:11-12).
