RECORD COLLECTOR magazine MAY, 2001 No. 261 210 pages Although this issue of the Brit publication, Record Collector has Paul McCartney featured on the cover along with insert photos of the two "Bobs" (Dylan and Marley), it also happens to have an interview with Van Der Graaf Generator main-man, Peter Hammill. That's the reason why I bought it anyway. Magazine-published material on VDGG is somewhat scare, so any articles may be of interest for fans of the band. Article is 8 pages complete with photos and a discography with Hammill's own commentary on each album. Outside of that, there is the 2001 poll where the magazine lists their top 500 rock/pop acts (bound to cause a litte prickling), and articles on blues guitarist Gary Moore, Rockabilly "Pinup-Girl" singer Wanda Jackson, Acid Mothers Temple, XTC, and a lot of album, book and DVD reviews. Most are asking way too much for this back issue. Read only once, in excellent condition, just a small pen doodle on the back cover.
