This is a lovely and delicate pair of vintage earrings that are an intricate combination of black onyx and Mother of Pearl surrounded by Marcasite accents. They weigh a total of .15 oz., which is equivalent to 4.25 grams (weighed without slide backs, earrings only). They measure approximately ¾ of an inch across. They are stamped on the back 925 (see photos). These could be worn several different ways, vertically with the black onyx on the top or with the mother of pearl on the top or the two stones side by side in a horizontal position.
These are in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. The silver has a dark patina on the back of the earrings; I did not polish them as many people prefer the patina that comes with age. I will leave that up to you if you so desire. The slides on backs are not original to the earrings and are not sterling. There is a slight bend to the post (see photo), but it does not affect the use of the earrings.
