This is a lovely and finely crafted cloisonné enamel scarf ring or slide. It has a black enameled background, which really makes the rich colors of blue, pink and orange designed flowers stand out. The gold lines define the flowers and the green leaves. The back is a goldtone metal with a textured basket weave pattern. It measures approximately 1 ¼ inches wide by ¾ of an inch tall. The reverse ring has a box style clasp on one side and a hinge on the other side with a safety latch or bar for added protection. This allows the ring to open and makes it easy to place around a scarf without having to pull the scarf through the ring (see photos). It is not signed.
This scarf holder is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is no damage or loss of enamel. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description and they show the details better than I can describe.
This would make a wonderful accessory and it will add that special touch to your favorite scarf. It is perfect for Spring or Summer.
