Antique Figurine Germany Bisque Girl Seashell Vase or Spill Vase. This is a beautiful piece, made in Germany circa late 1890's to early 1900's, it is all hand painted. It is made of bisque, bisque is basically china or porcelain before the glaze is applied, it also referred to as cold paste. This type of figurine was made to be a decorative piece in the Victorian times, made to sit on a mantle or shelf.

This piece has a girl in a white dress with blue highlights and gold accents, she is holding a seashell in her hand, she is leaning against a large seashell that serves as the vase, it is pink with gold accents, the back is unpainted as was the custom in many of the early pieces. It is almost 5" tall at the highest part, just over 4" long and 2 1/2" across the base.

It is in excellent condition, no chips. A beautiful addition to your collection!
