This is a gorgeous vintage necklace featuring thirty (30) tumbled polished free form natural green quartz, jadeite or aventurine gemstone nuggets that are intricately wire wrapped or caged in a shiny gold tone metal. The stones vary in size and color, but average 3/4 of an inch long. Some of the photos make the green seem faded, but the color is accurate in the 1st three photos, which are closer up and more detailed. It is unsigned and measures approximately 30 inches long end to end. There is a clasp closure on the necklace. The necklace weighs 2.80 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 79.38 grams. This beautifully artisan crafted necklace is most likely from the 1960s or 1970s.

The necklace is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. There are no chipped or cracked stones that I can see. The necklace is delicate in appearance yet quite strong. The gold tone metal has a lovely bright shine to it with no signs of wear. I don’t know what the metal is, but a magnet does not stick to it. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would make a wonderful gift. Because of the longer length it is easy to put on and goes right over the head, although it does have a clasp if you need it. It will be great for casual wear with your favorite pair of jeans or for that dressy event in your little black dress.
