The Monitor, circa 1900, is constructed of solid quarter-sawn oak with beautiful ornate details on the drawer front and sides. The cash drawer is activated by inserting a metal tab of the correct denomiation of sale. A bell rang and the register stored the used tags so the propeitor could add up the face value of the tags.
