CHARLIE AND THE GREAT GLASS ELEVATOR

by Roald Dahl

Illustrated by Joseph Schindelman

Alfred A. Knopf, First Edition, Second Printing, 1972

Condition: Very Good in Near Very Good dust jacket

This sequel to Dahl's twice-filmed CHARLIE AND  THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY relates the further adventures of Charlie Bucket and Willie Wonka, chocolate-maker extraordinary.  In this, the elevator takes its pasengers into orbit around the Earth.  163 pages, with many fanciful b&w illustrations.  This was Dahl's  fifth children's book.  Pretty modest cover corner wear, a bump on the top front cover,  a small smudge on the page fore-edges, modest toning of pages.  The jacket shows wear at the spine top and left front edge, some lesser edge wear and some staining on the back cover.  No price clipping.  (I acquired this hoping it would be made into a movie so the value would increase considerably.  Not yet, but you never know...)  Still, a good price on this uncommon 2nd printing.
