This is a 1983 Hickory NC City Directory telephone book with a list of all telephone numbers in numerical order, a classified business directory and miscellaneous information about the city and county. It includes Granite Falls, Hildebran and the surrounding areas. The area code was 704 at this time, it is now 828. The Hickory area now has three zip codes, this was listed as 28601.

The cover shows edge wear and some staining; this can be seen in the photographs. The pages are tanning and the white pages have changed color, are a greenish shade in the middle with tanning along the edges.. This is shown in another photo. The spine shows some staining, also. The binding is tight on the book. There is a water stain along the bottom edge of the book. The book has no writing on the cover or inside.
