This regal Lion head brooch features a stunning Lion face in profile with a long flowing gold tone mane. The mane lies across the top of the bevel set black glass stone (I think it is glass). It measures approximately 2 ½ inches long, 1 ¼ inches wide and ½ of an inch deep. It has a textured brass or goldtone open back. It has great detail and depth, it is unmarked.
This is in great used condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is a tiny microscopic chip in the black glass on the very underneath bottom (see photo with arrow), but you don’t see it without looking for it because it is not on the front where it would show. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
What a perfect gift this would be for your favorite Leo, born between July 23rd and August 22nd. It will look stunning with that little black dress or with your favorite pair of jeans. It would be a nice accessory for a jacket lapel, a scarf, or even pinned to an evening bag for that special occasion.
