This is an unusual and striking glazed porcelain set, consisting of a brooch or pin and matching clip on earrings. They have creamy white and black stripes and patterns with an iridescent finish in the black color that reflects purples, golds, reds and blues. Both the brooch and earrings have a gold gilt trim along the edges. The iridescent colors remind me gasoline slick in a puddle of water. The pieces are unsigned, but definitely of designer quality. The set has beautiful detail and is quite unique with curves, folds and creases that add to the three dimensional appearance. The abstract and freeform brooch measures approximately 4 inches by 3 inches and the earrings are approximately 1 ¾ inches tall and wide.

This fabulous set is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is one tiny defect on the bottom edge of one earring (see arrow in picture). It looks like there may have been a very tiny chip or bubble, but the gold trim is painted over it and you can’t see it without magnification, but I wanted to point it out. The set appears to have had very little if any wear and was most likely stored away safely for years. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would be a lovely set to add to your collection. It would look great on a hat, scarf or jacket lapel. I think it would be a nice finishing touch pinned to a black evening handbag or purse for a special event. It has the look of a Zebra and would be perfect with all your animal print outfits. You will receive many compliments and it is sure to be a conversation starter.
