Century of Service

A group of local merchants gathered in a Hartford Connecticut inn in 1810 and with a working capital of just $15,000 founded the now famous Hartford Fire Insurance Comapny. The Company grow from an uncertain beginning to one of the strongest and most respected business organizations in the world. Their story was dramatically intertwined with America's history throughout the past two centuries. More than once the Hartford has paid losses in excess of its total worth, with Company Directors pledging their personal funds as security for loans. Other companies failed during these difficult times, but the Hartford hung on stubbornly.

This advertisement celebrating their 100 Anniversary is over a hundred years old. It has the Stag logo and say "1810 A Century Of Commitment 1910". It measures approximately 6.5" by 9.5" inches and is in very good condition . This advertisement would look great matted and framed. It is a great historical piece and would make an excellent addition to any insurance memorabilia collection, or for any employee, retiree or agent/broker. This is especially true considering that The Hartford just celebrated their 200 year Anniversary.
