Authentic, rare, CHARLES COBELLE original large color lithograph print depicting a gorgeous Normandy cityscape consisting of a cafe, quai, river, bridge, background buildings, storefronts, castles, boats, cobblestone streets and steps, street lamps and vendors, and trees.
Gorgeous melange of colors and strokes, characteristic of Cobelle.
One of his best works, very versatile, formally sound, and aesthetically appealing. The color and strokes are somewhat evocative of David Hockney (in pieces like Large Interior, Los Angeles and Nichols Canyon, in particular).
Provenance: Larew's Galleries (red sticker still on the back) and ready for hanging. Lovely yellow wood frame that complements the spring-summer colors depicted in the lithograph.
Approx. dimensions in inches (framed):
Signed on the lower left in pencil with a numbered imprint, which denotes rarity and authenticity. Great print, but please note that there is some water damage along the bottom that does not extend to the main image itself, just along the lower border. Selling as is and already reflected in the price.
Payment is due immediately upon listing's close.
Final sale, no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations, so please ask any and all questions prior to purchase.
