Derby Silverplate
GRAVY or SAUCE BOAT
No. 5138
Elegant design and somewhat different
with an attached rectangular underplate
Small florals on the outer border, corners each have curled leaves that follow the corner of the plate. The boat has a flat topped handle and the serving area itself has a elaborate design of florals and swags. On either side of the neck, the floral leaves at the base are the same as the corners of the underplate.
There is thinning of the silver where the base of the gravy boat meets the underplate. Hard to notice in ambient lighting, but it is there.
I have not been able to find the pattern name but it is numbered 5138
Such a classic style, this pattern works well with many older styles of silverplated table ware!
Great vintage condition, Age appropriate markings from past use but are very minimal! Beautiful luster, we only use silver creme for polishing and never use harsh chemicals.
Sits nice & flat to surface
No pits, pings or waves - Faint usage marks
Table Ready!
