This is a gorgeous and elegant handcrafted artist cut and molded genuine leather brooch and earrings set. The beautifully made Orchid flowers are created from natural tan leather and dyed and painted in a lovely rose pink color with the veins highlighted in a darker shade of pink and white dots applied to the center of the flowers (the Column) and the tips of the petals. It reminds me of the Ballerina Orchids. The craftsmanship is incredible with tremendous detail. These are in the original box that reads “Valentin’s Leathercraft” in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. There is hand writing on the box which describes what was in it. The large blossom or flower brooch measures approximately 2 ½ inches tall and 2 ¼ inches wide. It has a standard pin back. The screwback style earrings are approximately 1 ¼ inches tall and 1 inch wide. This set is most likely from the 1950s.

This unique and striking set is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. The leather is nice and soft and the silver tone hardware on the brooch and earrings all work just fine. There is a little bit of a curl on the fringe of one of the earrings from how it was stored in the box. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would be the perfect set to wear to a wedding or a garden club party or meeting. Ideal for any flower lover or gardener, especially someone who enjoys raising Orchids. You can wear this in any season as a colorful accent with your dressy or casual wardrobe.
