Antique Milk Glass Shell and Scroll Dresser Box from the late 1880's to early 1900's. These boxes were very popular during this time period. Most were unmarked and made in a variety of patterns by several companies such as Dithridge, Eagle, Gillinder.
This one has a sort of scroll or fan type pattern on the top and along the bottom edge, some of the original gold gild trim remains. It has a sort of curved oblong shape, is 5" long by 3" and about 1 1/2" deep, in very nice condition, no major chips, bottom edge and inside edge has some fleabites and use roughness common in these old pieces.
Lovely accent piece for your dresser top, I have several that I use on my dresser, perfect for small earrings, rings and necklaces!
