THREE WEEKS IN THE BRITISH ISLES
by John U. Higinbotham
Reilly & Britton, 1911
Presumed First Edition
Condition: Very Good+

This book was written for Americans as a guide to the British Isles. Today it provides a delightful portrait of England, Ireland and Scotland as they were 100 years ago, more intimate and detailed than most history books, which are more concerned with politics. 328 pages, plus numerous photo plates. The exterior of this copy shows little wear (minor staining, slight corner bumps); there is a gutter tear at the page between the half-title an title pages and small marks on the fore-edges of a few pages, plus moderate page toning and a name written on the ffep. Overall, a nice, solid copy.
