This is a stunning vintage handcrafted sterling silver bone or skeleton fish stamped on the back with the Great Falls Metalworks GFMW hallmark and marked Sterling.  The company was founded in 1968. All of their jewelry is environmentally friendly and they are green manufacturers, the pieces are made from recycled precious metals. Their jewelry is featured in galleries throughout the United States and can be found in national and international museums. Jan Palombo and Flora Anne Brothers are the designers for the company. The brooch measures approximately 3 inches long and 1 1/8 inches tall. It weighs .25 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 7.09 grams.

It is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished it and there is a nice patina forming. I will leave any polishing up to you as many people prefer the finish that comes from age. It has a secure holding roll over style pin back. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would make a great addition to your collection of vintage figural or fish jewelry. This is perfect for any fish lover and a wonderful brooch for anyone who likes to fish or enjoys eating fish. It would also be a great accent pinned to a black purse or handbag. Make anything ordinary into something extraordinary.
