This is a stunning and unusual large vintage costume jewelry bracelet with intricately designed rectangular panels, with large oval shaped jade or emerald green iridescent or opalescent swirled art glass cabochons, each set in a brass raised bezel (a magnet does not stick to this bracelet). Surrounding the glass stone are enameled light green and red flowers. Scattered among the flowers are round bezel set deep green faceted rhinestones. Each cabochon is set in an ornate antiqued open cut filigree brass metal link that measures 2 inches square. Each of the panels has raised ornamental designs which give it a very dimensional appearance. There are three panels in total to make up a magnificent piece of art jewelry. Each of the panels is curved, which makes this a comfortable bracelet to wear. It is most likely from the 1930s or 1940s; it was purchased at an Estate Sale back in the 1960s.

This is in very good vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures but it is missing several of the red stones and there are surface scratches on the green stones that would benefit from having them buffed out. You don’t notice the red stones missing because they have been replaced using red enamel paint and they are quite small. In fact when I first looked closely, I thought the red was all enamel like the green leaves. There is slight damage to the green enamel leaves in a couple of places where a little bit of the enamel is off. Again, please look at the enlarged pictures as they are part of the description, you can see each of the panels separately and the details are quite clear. Each panel is securely hinged in two places.

This is a substantial piece of jewelry. It measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long and is 2 inches wide. Because it is only 6 1/2 inches in length including the clasp you will need a fairly small wrist to wear this. I have taken a picture of it on my wrist with the clasp closed and you can see it fits like a cuff, there is no leeway. It has perfectly working and sturdy fold-over clasps. The piece is not marked, but it is of high quality and design. It is quite heavy and weighs 3 ounces on my postal scale, which converts to 85.05 grams. It may need a bit more cleaning, but I did not want to risk damaging it, I will leave that up to you. I have taken many pictures so you can see the incredible workmanship.

This attractive bracelet would make a wonderful gift for yourself, someone you care about, or just to add to your own collection of vintage jewelry. If you love large jewelry, this one is for you.
