Crackle fire agate burnt orange and red carnelian beaded necklace, made with tube and round shaped stones. Necklace length is 22 inches and is completed by sterling silver cord guards and a silver plated lobster claw clasp. Hand knotted between each bead using a strong waxed fiber black cord by Beadalon, a braided Dacron fiber that resists both abrasion and stretching. The snakeskin-like texture of this cord gives it grip, so knots are more secure.
Crackle fire agate often called spiderweb agate or crab agate because of its distinctive pattern within the stone. While this type of stone is popular it is not the same as fire agate found in northern Mexico and the southwestern United States which much more expensive and rare. Crackle agates are created with real stones. It is achieved from heat treating Carnelian stones, a type of chalcedony, and then cooled quickly to achieve the crackle patterns. Each bead will be unique its colors and patterns. Colors are often a deep brown, red to orange, and creamy colors.
