Butterfly bush is a semi evergreen shrub of about 12' tall with grey-green foliage. in late summer and early fall its arching canes bear at their tips long, 6-10", cones of densely packed, wonderfully perfumed, lavender flowers with an orange dot in the center. they are very attractive to butterflies and humming birds.
they are very fast growing and will bloom their second year.
