July 11, 2012 we released the definitive new, professional encoded "version 4" remastered original. Improved video, audio and beautiful new animated menus set to the 12OH theme music...!
Don't be fooled by the junky low quality "cheapo" versions. Other sellers have squashed 78 episodes on 20 or 19 DVDs. How do you think those look? Terrible. Don't forget, we add the "extras disc" (that includes an iPod /smartphone version sample of Episode 1) and episode guide, see below.

Note: Oct 1, 2016, We've just updated the Extras Disc to include MORE 12OH publicity photos and even MORE related extras including Mad Magazine's spoof "12 O'Crocked High"!

Regularly $299 on our website, 66% off till sold (or ends).

Emmy Award Winner... TV Guide called it "The thinking man's war series". The series was not as action based as Combat! but dealt a lot with the cost of a man's soul during war.

Gen.Savage: "I’ve found your ‘writings’ to be irresponsible and biased."

Moran: "Let’s see, General... I’m after the truth, you -— are protecting a friend. Which of us would you say is more biased?"
12 O'clock High Season 1; The Suspected

And the quote I'll never forget;
Best Quote: Gen. Savage to Lt. Pike; "You know the older I get, Pike, the more I begin to think there's no such thing as
'loners'--just 'outsiders' trying to get back in."

Twelve O'Clock High Episodes: 78- 60 minute episodes (61 Black & White, 17 Color) First Telecast: September 18, 1964 Last Telecast: January 13, 1967
The show asked "How much can one man take?"
Why put it on your "watch list", when you could be already watching it from the comfort of your favorite TV chair??
This show takes place in mid 1942 through 1944 during World War II. It follows the 918th Heavy Bombardment Group, part of the 8th Air Force. AAF Brigadier General Frank Savage is asked to take over the 918th by General Pritchard. Savage is a tough as nails commander and builds the Group into the "best bomb group" in 8th Air Force. At the start of the 2nd season, Savage is killed and Colonel Joseph Anson Gallagher takes over for the next two seasons. The 918th Group is first led by Savage then Gallagher.

It goes without saying that the first season's acting by Lansing is just plain incredible! The first episode when he lets Major Gallagher have it, I nearly cowered back into my seat. Some of the biggest TV and movie stars, guest-starred on this show. (William Shatner and Burt Reynolds even guest starred!) Every episode was a work of art and a well crafted stories about the human condition under the stress of war! The episode "Sound of Distant Thunder" w/Peter Fonda still moves me every time I watch it! From the Hitchcock-like "The Threat" to the wonderful mystery of "The Suspected", this show delivered high quality stories, again and again through great scripts! Although Lansing was fantastic, I always liked Paul Burke too. He was a fine actor and played Col. Gallagher perfectly! Jack Lord played Gallagher's older brother Preston. His intense performance of a soldier pushed to the brink is haunting, as is the scene walking through his graveyard...

(Dominic Frontiere's dramatic and majestic music score is worth it ALONE! WOW! No show had better music, not even Star Trek!) The movie was a masterpiece and so was the TV series, in it's own way. In today's TV world every show has it's girl "eye-candy". TOH pulled off incredible story-telling with no regular female cast! You just feel the weight of the war on Robert Lansing's shoulders in the first season.

A must own series! Not one bad episode. Unfortunately the series hit too close to home in the 60's due to the Vietnam War (especially episodes like "Here's to Courageous Cowards") and was cancelled after season 3. Every episode on DVDs- all 3 seasons (78 episodes); excellent (9.5) quality...! You may find cheaper, you won't find better! 39 DVDs (+bonus Disc=40), full animated menus by ACT numbers. 78 hrs of WWII air war drama and intrigue! This show is public domain.

Keep in mind this is NOT NOT the quality of the DVDs but the lousy, streaming compression scripts Youtube uses by default to show video.
