The Magic Toyshop

by Angela Carter

New York: Simon and Schuster, 1967

First edition in dust jacket, not price-clipped.

-------------------------------------------------------------

This is one book, when encountered (and it is not common), that somehow shows up as a library copy most of the time. Such is the case with this book.

This book is overall good to very good, with clean covers and spine but for "tape ghosts" on the top and bottom edges of the boards.

This book is a bit shelf-slanted. The end papers have remnants of "tape ghosts" and there is evidence of a library pocket card removal at the rear free endpaper. Internally the book is sound with a bit of page soiling here and there, and some straightened out corners of a few pages that were used as book markers once. Usually with ex-library books, there is a page missing and some library stampings throughout the book. This book has none of that.

The dust jacket is good to very good, protected now in a removable Mylar jacket protector. There are a few small holes at the fold-over junctures, and a bit of edge wear, but overall a good to very good dust jacket which is not price-clipped. Overall this book shelves well, and very presentable, especially in first edition.

This book is stated "First Printing" and is really not a common book in America.
