This washboard shows no evidence that it was ever used.   The bottom nails have no rust and the wood does not look like it has been wet, or at least it was dried properly.   The side you that would be used for washing  is slightly faded.  The glass and the rest of the piece is in very good condition, except for a couple of scuffs in the wood.  In photo number 3 at the bottom of the graphics a line of indentations in the wood can be seen, that look like they were there when it was made since they trail off underneath the trim.   It is old and I believe from the 1930's or 1940's but I am not certain.  It is 24 inches tall,  The sides are 1 1/2 inches deep, and it is 13 inches wide.  I have owned this for a long time to use as decorative art, but now, in my smaller home, I have no place for it.  It has been in a smoke free home.
