This is a beautiful large pewter pendant or medallion from Towle Silversmiths. It has a Celtic swirl design and is on a silvertone chain. The pendant measures approximately 2-3/4" tall & 2" wide. It could be worn by either a man or a woman. The pendant could also be used as a keychain or hung in a window. It is signed on the back TOWLE Pewter 8622. It comes with the original blue box marked “Newburyport Pewter Towle” with the logo of a ships wheel with two stars underneath it.
This pendant necklace is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are some slight surface scratchings that only show with magnification, you don't see them with the naked eye. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This would be perfect for anyone who collects Towle Pewter or Celtic Jewelry. It is a striking piece of jewelry and would definitely be a conversation starter.
