Yarn - Coats and Clarks Red Heart Crochet Wool 3-ply, 12 balls
Plastic crochet hook, US No. 2 OR
Steel crochet hook, No. 1
Hairpin lace staple 1 ? inch wide.

Gauge:
Hairpin lace strip.
