Handmade Elongated Teardrop

This is a pair of hand painted Peruvian Earrings made with ceramic or porcelain beads. The top part of the dangle consists of a yellow elongated teardrop shaped ceramic bead. Hanging from the yellow bead is a smaller round or oval beads. On one side of the bead is a Llama design and on the other side is a scene of a farmer working in the field. You can mix and match the designs simply be turning the bead.

These colorful handcrafted earrings measure approximately 2 1/2 inches long (including the French ear wires) and 5/8 of an inch wide. These were purchased anywhere from the 1960s to early 1980s.

They are in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. There is a little bit of crazing of the glaze (fine little lines) on the bottom bead, but it is only noticeable under magnification. The bead is not affected, just the surface glaze. This is a beautiful eye catching pair of earrings that you can wear with dressy or casual outfits. Each earring is a miniature work of art and is sure to be a conversation starter. The bright yellow is perfect for your Spring and Summer wardrobe.
