This is an adorable brooch depicting a seal or sea lion with a dangling gold fish charm hanging from it's mouth. It is signed “Jacqui 96”. Jacqui Ertischek is an Alaskan artist specializing in “new clay” jewelry. She piece together clays to form intricate patterns without the use of any paint. Her work is easily recognized. Each of her “one of a kind” pieces is signed and dated. She is known for her handmade jewelry and paintings. This pin was one of Jacqui's Originals and came from Anchorage, Alaska. She is also a published author of children's books. This brooch is approximately 2 ¼ inches long and 1 ¾ inches tall.

It is in excellent condition as you can see from the many enlarged photographs. This pin was purchased over 25 years ago in 1996. There are what look like little bits of fuzz on the back next to the pin. I think that is from the cotton cushion in the box it was stored in. You don't see it without the magnification. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would make an excellent gift for any naturalist, animal lover or someone who cares about wildlife. It is a one of a kind pin that is sure to be a conversation starter.
