This is a lovely vintage simulated or faux pearl choker necklace. The centerpiece of the necklace is a teardrop shaped pearl cabochon in a gold tone setting with scallop like edges. There are 7 wire strands going up to the neck. The strands alternate between plain gold-tone and small seed pearls. It measures 5 1/2 inches long from the top to the bottom and the center diameter opening un-stretched is approximately 4 1/2 inches. The necklace itself is approximately 16 inches around. The strands are flexible and will fit almost any size neck (see pictures). The strands come to a single point with caps at the end of the choker.
This is in very good vintage condition as you can see by the pictures. All the pearls are intact and the pearl finish shows almost no sign of wear. I have had this for years and wore it on special occasions. The last time I wore it was over 15 years ago at a wedding, my own. There is a picture of me wearing it and you can see what it looks like on. It is a lovely and elegant piece of jewelry. I don't remember when I first purchased it, probably in the 1970s to early 1980s.
I hope someone will enjoy this piece of vintage jewelry as much as I did. It would be nice to think of it being worn at another wedding. It brought me good luck!
