The first of these two programs profiles the dancer, choreographer and filmmaker Philippe Decoufle. His choreography for the ceremonial parades of the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertiville brought him instant inernatinoal fame and enabled his unusual work to cnquer new territory and to reach mainstream audiences. Decoufle's subsequent creations continue to burst with color and theatrical wit as he follows the principles formed during his early training at a circus school. The second program examines the life and work of Mathilde Monnier who, in 1993, took over as Artistic Director of the Centr choregraphique natinoal de Montpellier and , along with her team, developed a dynamic, challenging array of productions.
