Bambusa multiplex “Fernleaf” is highly prized as a short, thick, deer-resistant hedge.   The very upright green canes have side growth stems that bear densely packed, small green leaves.  This density not only creates a screen but also a sound barrier.

Fernleaf is usually between 8 and 10 feet tall, al though reports of 15 feet exist in perfect conditions.  The canes are ½ inch in diameter and are thickly spaced.

Fernleaf is hardy in zones 7b through 11 and in zone 7a, will return from the roots in those years where temperatures reach 0 degrees.   Water requirements are moderate after plant is established.

You will receive a nice one gallon size plant.  Its pot will be removed and packaged with watering gel to ensure it remains moist during transit.
