"The Seargent" completed by Remington in 1904, was originally named "Bust of Rough Rider Seargent". Mounted on a square base is a seasoned soldier. It was one of two smaller busts made by Remington, to make it affordble for the general public to be able to own a Remington Bronze. The other bust is "The Savage". This statue is reproduced in solid bronze by the Lost Wax Casting Process, cast in a brown patina and then hand-rubbed to bring out detail and highlights. The statue is then mounted on a marble base with an etched brass plate. The incredible detail of each sculpture is a Remington hallmark.
