Here for your perusal is a CLASSIC, Vintage Fisher Price Pick-Up and Peek #519 Animal Friends Wooden Peg Puzzle. Manufactured between 1977-84, this puzzle featured a host of lovable animals that pre-schoolers adore and also frequent the stories they hear. Designed for children ages 1 1/2--4 years of age, the puzzle consists of 8 single pieces which may be removed by pulling up on their yellow pegs. The yellow pegs and the lack of interlocking pieces makes it an ideal first puzzle for young children. Under each puzzle piece, is a captivating litho of that same animal engaging in a different activity. The pictures help the child match the correct puzzle piece to its respective position. In addition, the puzzle assists the children in developing their beginning matching skills, eye/hand coordination, and attending skills.

This puzzle is in gently played with condition---VG++. The puzzle surface has retained its original glossy sheen with only minimal paint loss being noted on the bear's left ear and center of his forehead. Other than some minor edge wear and some soiling on some of the puzzle pieces (e.g. especially on the back side of some of them), this puzzle is in REMARKABLE condition. I believe I will be able to remove the brown spots that you may see on the back of some of the puzzle pieces with cleaning. The underlying lithos parallel the puzzle pieces (VG++). There are a few signs of wear (e.g. on the beaver's tail) and some light soiling. The latter, I believe, will come off with a careful cleaning. The back side of the puzzle exhibits some mild-moderate soiling, some edge wear, and some extraneous marks and scratches. It's doubtful these will be remediated during the cleaning process. All in all, it's unbelievable that this puzzle is 41 years young!

This puzzle belies Fisher Price's reputation for durable, endearing toys. As visible in my photos, this puzzle was produced in Malta for Fisher Price Toys, copyright 1971-72, 1973-76-79, The Quaker Oats Company.

This puzzle weighs 15 oz. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905).

I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.

Since Bonanza's shipping calculator does NOT offer Fed Ex Home Delivery as a shipping option, PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL I HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO MANUALLY CHECK THESE RATES AND INSERT THEM INTO YOUR INVOICE. Otherwise, the shipping calculator may overcharge you.

Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.
