Here is a FABULOUS, VINTAGE FISHER PRICE #502 COMMUNITY PEEK UP 'N PEEK PUZZLE for your inspection. This puzzle consists of 10 pieces, each equipped with a yellow peg. The pegs on each puzzle piece are designed to help little fingers easily remove the pieces from the puzzle. Manufactured between 1972-78, the puzzle depicted a number of existing buildings in East Aurora, NY, the manufacturing home of Fisher Price toys. If you look closely, a couple of the buildings are "dead ringers" for the vintage Fisher Price #952 Yellow House and the #923 School CLASSIC play sets. The puzzle is intended for 2-5 year old children. All of the pieces, when removed, have an underlying litho showing what occurs inside each building on a regular basis and what items are commonly associated with that particular building. Preschoolers just adore standing these puzzle pieces upright and recreating their own towns. This is a WONDERFUL puzzle for beginning language learners. The puzzle provides loads of opportunities to highlight assorted vocabulary, language based concepts, categorization and memory activities. The lithos are captivating and spark a lot of conversational attempts. In my opinion, this puzzle is in NEAR MINT condition. The only "imperfections" I can find are:

1. One light black streak across the Fisher Price Toy Factory piece; I have not yet tried to see if this can be removed via a careful cleaning;

2. One small (pin-head size) speck on one of the window panes on the School and one below the School next to the front door;

That's it! All of the interior lithos are in MINTY MINT condition. The lack of any wear on these interior lithos suggests to me that this puzzle is BRAND NEW. This puzzle was produced in Holland. The back of the puzzle is devoid of any marks or punctures etc. There's a hint of a small spot of residual glue (probably from the manufacturing process) along with some extraneous white paper on the upper edge of the back of the puzzle. I just now flicked this with my fingernail and this paper came off without any effort. Overall, this is a ABSOLUTELY A COLLECTOR QUALITY puzzle.

This incredible puzzle is accompanied by its ORIGINAL BOX. The box itself has been subjected to some abuse during the mailing process to me. The corner tabs have been squished and a few have been split. Someone, not me, has attempted in the past to reinforce the corners of the box with a small amount of scotch tape. This tape looks like it could be easily removed. The rest of the box looks to be in TERRIFIC shape. On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being PERFECT, I would rank this box as being a 7.5-8.0.

This solid wood puzzle exemplifies Fisher Price's reputation for durable, classic toys. The puzzle weighs 1 lb., 4 oz. UNWRAPPED and my location is Lafayette, IN (47905).

FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.

Since Bonanza's shipping calculator does NOT offer Fed Ex Home Delivery as a shipping option, PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL I HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO MANUALLY CHECK THESE RATES AND INSERT THEM INTO YOUR INVOICE. Otherwise, the shipping calculator may overcharge you.

Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.
