Lot of four (4) different eras of Philippine One Peso Coins:

Jose Rizal / Ang Baong Lipunan Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas 1993 coins: 1972, 1982, 1985, 2003. Circulated.

The Pilipino series were issued from 1972 to 1974. The nickel-brass coin bears the denomination and a profile of Jose Rizal, a writer and key member of the Filipino Propaganda Movement to advocate political reforms for the colony under Spain, faced to the left on the obverse and teh scription 'Republika na Pilipinas' and its official coat of arms are all on the reverse.

The Bagong Lipunan Series were issued from 1975 to 1983. The obverse bears the inscription 'Republicka ng Pilipinas' and a portrait of Rizal now faced to the right. The inscription 'Ang Bagong Lipunan' and the coat of arms of the Philippines are on the reverse.

The Flora and Fauna Series were issued from 1983 to 1990 and 1991 to 1994. Two new peso coins, the latter of a smaller size concurrent to the last 4 years of the series. The obserse features a profile of Rizal facing right and an image of Anoa Mindorensis (tamaraw) on the reverse.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Coin Series was issued from 1995 to 2003 with and enlarged denomination on the obverse and the inscription 'Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' and its official seal all on the reverse.
