This is a small onyx horse of the style we often see in figurines from Mexico though it has no tags to establish that as the country of origin.  It is a little more than 3 inches tall.

This item was part of a relative’s horse collection.  She lived from 1927 to 2006 and had it on display, so I’m thinking 1970s give or take.
